Ankara is the capital of the Turkish Republic. Though thoroughly modern in appearance, Ankara’s history and that of the surrounding area dates back to the Bronze Age and Anatolian civilisations.
The oldest parts of the city surround the ancient hisar or citadel in which there’s the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations with its priceless collection of Paleolithic, Neolithic, Hatti, Hittite, Phrygian, Urartian and Roman artifacts.
Early depart for Ankara, the capital of modern Turkey. Visit the world famous Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. After lunch served in the historic district of Ankara at “The castle”, we visit the mausoleum of Atatürk (Father of Turks) before returning back or transferring to airport (L)
