The area is a popular tourist destination, as it has many areas with unique geological, historic, and cultural features.The region is located southwest of the major city Kayseri, which has airline and railway service to Ankara and Istanbul and other cities.
The most important towns and destinations in Cappadocia are Urgup, Goreme, Ihlara Valley, Selime, Guzelyurt, Uchisar, Avanos and Zelve. Among the underground cities worth seeing are Derinkuyu, Kaymakli, Gaziemir and Ozkanak. The best historic mansions and cave houses for tourist stays are in Urgup, Goreme, Guzelyurt and Uchisar.
Early morning Transfer to Istanbul airport and fly to Kayseri, in the heart of Central Anatolia. Our first stop after pick up from the airport will be at Soganli Valley, also known as the ‘Valley of Dolls’ with its many Byzantine period rock tombs, enjoying a leisurely hike and exploring the Armenian style churches and monastery ruins. Visit the cultural sites. Then we continue to the remote village of Guzeloz, and pass through Ortakoy, Baskoy & Sahinefendi. Visit Taskinpasa Caravanserai, before arriving at Cemil village, a typical small Cappadocian village. Following a brief stop, proceed to Mustafa pasha (Sinasos) and visit the village, renowned for its excellent Ottoman and Greek architecture. Then continue to Devrent valley Stop at the majestic fairy-chimneys of Pasabag’lar. View some of the fascinating frescoed and rock carved churches of the Göreme open-air museum, Continue to Urgup to sample some of the wine produced in the area. At the end of this tour, continue on the same vehicle to Kayseri airport for your flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Hotel. (L)
